DIM 3D Digital Twin accelerates custom design and improves the user's purchasing decision experience
Its objective is to facilitate the modernization and competitiveness of the global and local fashion industry in the EU and promote sustainability with the Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) to accelerate the positive impact, within a sector as polluting as textiles.
DIM Technologies is an innovative SME and technology-based company, with more than 10 years of experience as a consultancy implementing virtual reality solutions in industry 4.0, as well as its own 3D virtualization developments thanks to R&D projects.
Its objective is to facilitate the modernization and competitiveness of the global and local fashion industry in the EU and promote sustainability with the Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) to accelerate the positive impact, within a sector as polluting as textiles.
This commitment has led them to be recently awarded at Digicirc, a European call for circular economy. The technology presented ‘DIM 3D Digital Twin’ will allow the fashion and clothing industry to manufacture based on size standards, thus solving the problem of excess material acquisition for manufacturing, the production of unsaleable physical samples, the adaptation of manufacturing to real demand and, therefore, a significant reduction in the returns of manufactured garments.
Its strategy allows a broader understanding of a product or process, providing efficiency and innovation to manufacturing companies, with a collaborative platform (DIM 3D Management) that allows, through personalized design, the improvement of the user experience in the decision of purchase, bringing products to market significantly faster.
In this way it is possible to avoid the need to manufacture prototypes, improving the quality of the product and dispensing with the terminology of ‘trial and error’, thus guaranteeing the success of each collection anywhere in the world.
DimTech 3D, its trademark, is already implementing certified and patented solutions in the national and European markets with notable success with an Advanced System for 3D Virtualization, Management and Improvement of the Industrial Process. Gobik, Mayoral, Camper, El Corte Inglés, Luanvi, Orbea, Inverse, Spiux, Austral, Tactic, Odlo and Giesseg, are just some of the reference clients it has.
“Our solutions are scalable to other industries that manufacture products, where we once again highlight the importance of the digital twin. For example, two shipyards such as De Antonio Yacht and Tesoro Yacht are providing a boat customization service to their clients, thanks to DIM3D Customizer, a platform that allows any product to be customized in 3D,» they say.
Contest ‘Design your sweatshirt in 3D’
In DIM Technologies they are delighted to be able to participate as sponsors and exhibitors in Innovam+, and as a demonstration of their technology they will hold a ‘Design your sweatshirt in 3D’ contest during the event. There will be two award categories, the most voted design on the DIM Technologies social networks and the most beautiful design voted by a jury.
